Brick and block work is one of the popular stoneworks that involves laying of brick and block in mortar mix to create various construction buildings, such as wall. Bricks are made of clay and have a solid core, while blocks are made of concrete, generally larger than brics with a hollow or solid square unit. Both of them are densed, offering a compressive strength to the overall construction. Brick, marble, granite, limestone, manufactured stone, concrete, stucco and tile are among the common materials.
Brick or block? The answer depends on the building you want to build. Although they might have a slight difference in terms of the appearance, both of them share a distinct features and can serve at its best when employed correctly. Bricks are a good heat and resistance, soundproof and more energy efficient. Blocks are generally heavier and cost more, yet they also come with a larger and stronger characters.
